In Embedded Systems you occasionally run up against a problem that involves Matrices.
A short, and old (1972), book by Digital Equipment Corporation BASIC Matrix Operations presents the subject in an understandable fashion and gives understandable explanation of why you would want to square and cube a Matrix to solve todays Wireless Sensor routing problems.
